Here in Boston we are swimming through another heatwave and it made me think about our favorite Peruvian drink, Chicha morada!

While living in Peru I found soup being served in almost any outdoor produce market, in small and large stalls throughout.

In honor of Peruvian Independence day, July 28th, I (Chefmama Krysia) made something like a ceviche serrano for parents, also called ceviche

Since I can remember I've been eating Ensalada Rusa, which translates as Russian Salad, at various family parties over the years.

It's Chef Mama Krysia's birthday and she's whipped up her and Kahlo's (and abuelo's!) favorite dish!
